Yohei Kondo (近藤洋平 Kondō Yōhei) is the son of Fusako Kondo. He works as a clerk at the Tomato Convenience Store in Dobuita part-time and as a forklift operator at the New Yokosuka Harbor District.
Biography[]
Yohei lives with his mother in Sakuragaoka, and he really dislikes Dobuita. He was mugged while in Dobuita by some foreign sailors, taking all the money he had been given from relatives as a gift for New Year's. He is now a college student, but rarely attends classes, instead he works part-time at the Tomato Convenience Store in Dobuita and also works at the New Yokosuka Harbor District as a forklift operator. He seems to be incapable of saving money.
Shenmue[]
When Ryo Hazuki works as a forklift operator at the harbor, Yohei is one of his co-workers. He is also one of the competitors in the daily warm-up forklift races. If Ryo talks to him while he's driving his forklift throughout the harbor, he will reveal that the reason he is working two jobs is because he borrowed his friend's new car, and got in a huge accident that totaled it, and needs money to pay for it. He begs Ryo not to tell his mother, and he says he won't .
