Tomato Convenience Store (or Tomato Store for short) (トマトマート Tomato Māto, "Tomato Mart" in Shenmue I, トマトコンビニ Tomato Konbini in Shenmue II) is a convenience store which is located in Dobuita, the New Yokosuka Harbor District, the Golden Quarter, Wan Chai, and The Promenade, Niaowu. Ryo Hazuki can purchase items such as food, batteries, matches, candles, or cassette tapes.

Raffle Prizes[]
If Ryo buys either Caramel, Potato Chips, Chocolate, or a cassette tape, he gets to draw a ticket from the raffle and possibly win a rare item. Additionally, drink cans purchased from Vending Machines have a chance to be a Winning Can, which can be exchanged for a ticket. The chances to get a winning ticket are normally very low, but slightly increase on certain days, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The Promenade[]
At the Promenade store, Ryo can purchase various amounts of food to increase his HP. He also can purchase phone cards which can be used to call his old friends at Hotel Niaowu, and books. Maojia Huang works here.

- The store in Dobuita plays a jingle which can be heard from quite a distance away.
- Initially there were plans for Ryo to be able to purchase band-aids at the Tomato Convenience Store in Dobuita, however it was cut in the final game.
